Shared hosting in Europe, under European law. The price you choose today is also your renewal price — the same in month one as in month thirty-six.
Two prices, one question: do they move? We index each one to its own starting price — 100 in month one. Ours stays at 100 from month one to month sixty. The market's holds at 100 through the forty-eight months paid upfront, then rises to 368 at renewal.
| Month | Kardox Media · Pro | Index | The market · entry-level plan | Index |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5,99 € | 100 | 2,99 € | 100 |
| 12 | 5,99 € | 100 | 2,99 € | 100 |
| 24 | 5,99 € | 100 | 2,99 € | 100 |
| 36 | 5,99 € | 100 | 2,99 € | 100 |
| 48 | 5,99 € | 100 | 2,99 € | 100 |
| 49 | 5,99 € | 100 | 10,99 € | 368 |
| 60 | 5,99 € | 100 | 10,99 € | 368 |
| Total paid over 60 months | 359,40 € | 275,40 € | ||
| Difference from the advertised price | 0,00 € · +0 % | +96,00 € · +53,5 % | ||
The price you read here is the price for month one, and still the price for month thirty-six. With us, the term brings the price down — it does not set up an increase.

The listed price is the renewal price, without exception. And cancellation takes one click.
What the shared plans do not include: SSH access. The account shell is "nologin". Files are uploaded over FTP, and databases are managed from the control panel. Not to be confused with the SSL certificate, which is included everywhere: SSH is a developer console, not a security feature.
Hosting is not just a folder of files and a database. Here is the stack actually running on our machines: it is the same for all three plans. From one plan to the next, the quantities change — never the tools.
PHP 8.3 and 8.4
Version chosen per site, via FPM.
MariaDB
MySQL-compatible databases, access via the panel.
nginx in front of Apache
The proxy serves the static files, Apache the dynamic ones.
SSL certificate
Let's Encrypt, installed and renewed automatically.
Professional email
IMAP and POP3, with ClamAV antivirus and SpamAssassin antispam.
Authoritative DNS
Zones hosted on ns1.kardox.net and ns2.kardox.net.
FTP access
FTP accounts per site.
Servers in Europe
European Union, GDPR, no transfers outside the EU.
Scheduled tasks (cron): 5, 10, or 20 depending on the plan. MariaDB databases: 2, 10, or 25. Domain aliases and DNS zones: unlimited on all three.
Addresses at your own domain are created from the control panel that already manages your sites. Mailboxes can be checked over IMAP or POP3 with the email client of your choice; every incoming message passes through the ClamAV antivirus and the SpamAssassin spam filter before it arrives.
The order
You choose the plan and the term. The price shown is the one you will pay at every renewal that follows.
1, 12, 24, or 36 monthsThe payment
One invoice, for the chosen term. The term discount is not a teaser rate: it applies to renewals too.
from 1,99 € to 9,99 € per monthThe activation
The account is opened on the server, the DNS zone created, the certificate installed. You receive your credentials and upload your files.
SSL, DNS, and email includedOn Starter, Pro, and Business, the shell is set to "nologin": there is no remote command line. SSH has nothing to do with SSL: the certificate that encrypts your site is indeed there, on all three plans, installed and renewed on its own. SSH is a developer tool — a remote console — not a security measure. Not opening it on a shared machine is, in fact, what keeps the machine healthy: no one launches processes that would weigh on other people's sites. Files go through FTP, databases through the control panel, and recurring tasks through the panel's cron.
If your project calls for a shell, a shared plan is not the right tool: write to us and we will tell you frankly.
Not yet available to order
We do not announce rates or specifications until these two services are running: what is written on this site is read off our servers, and there is nothing there to read yet. Tell us what you need — that is what will decide the order in which we open them.
None of these four lines asks you to take our word for it: each one can be checked from your browser, your invoice, or the documentation of open-source software.
The machines that carry your sites, your MariaDB databases and your mailboxes are hosted in the European Union. The General Data Protection Regulation applies there as a matter of law, and nothing is transferred outside the Union.
European Union · no transfers outside the EU
No typeface, no script, no image, no analytics from anywhere else: everything comes from our servers. Open your browser's "Network" tab — the list fits in a few lines, and every one of them carries the same domain name. A house that sells privacy can hardly betray it on the very page that touts it.
0 requests to third-party domains
The crossed-out price on our plan cards is the monthly rate, never a teaser price. Taking a longer term lowers it — and that lowered price is also the renewal price. So there is nothing to claw back later.
Pro over three years: 3,99 € the first month, 3,99 € the thirty-sixth
You write in French, by email or by ticket in the client area. The people who operate the machines are the ones who answer: people who can open the service log rather than read you a script.

Advertising a low price for the first period and renewing at an entirely different one is a widespread practice. Here are another host's public figures, recorded on August 18, 2026 from its web hosting page, and ours alongside.
| Plan | Prepaid term | At sign-up | At renewal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common market practice — publicly recorded on August 18, 2026 | |||
| Entry-level plan | 48 months | 2,99 €/month | 10,99 €/month |
| Mid-tier plan | 48 months | 3,99 €/month | 16,99 €/month |
| Top-tier plan | 48 months | 7,99 €/month | 25,99 €/month |
| Kardox Media — the discounted rate is also the renewal rate | |||
| Starter | 36 months | 1,99 €/month | 1,99 €/month unchanged |
| Pro | 36 months | 3,99 €/month | 3,99 €/month unchanged |
| Business | 36 months | 6,99 €/month | 6,99 €/month unchanged |
The amounts we recorded are shown in euros, with the figures unchanged. Our lowest rates assume three years paid up front; at one month, with no minimum term, the same plans are 2,99 €, 5,99 €, and 9,99 € — and those prices do not move either. We do not name the provider we surveyed: the comparison is about a practice, not a company. The figures are public and dated; we give the exact source to anyone who asks.
Payment, invoicing, the renewal date, and the right of withdrawal, set out here in the same wording as our terms of service — so that nothing is left to discover after you order.
Services are payable upfront, for the period you choose. Payment by card takes place on a secure page: we never see your number. The service is activated automatically once the payment is accepted.
Card payment · automatic activation
Every due date generates an invoice, filed in your client area and announced by email before the new period is charged. You never have to discover a debit after the fact.
Invoice at every due date · notice before the charge
The price paid at subscription is the price paid at renewal. If our rates ever change, the change concerns future orders only: it never applies to an order already in progress. It is written that way in the terms of service, and you can hold us to it.
No increase on an order in progress
As a rule, consumers have fourteen days to withdraw, with no reason to give and no penalty. Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code provides that this right is lost once the customer requests immediate performance and the service is performed — activation being automatic, the question is put to you when you place the order. We tell you before, not after.
Fourteen days · article L221-28
These four points are a faithful summary, not a contract: the binding text is that of the terms of service, supplemented by the privacy policy.
Every answer rests on what we can verify. When we do not know, we say so, and support takes over.
No. The rate you get for the term you choose is also your renewal rate. A Pro plan ordered for one year at 4,99 € per month renews at 4,99 € per month. The only crossed-out price you will see here is the monthly rate: it is the starting point of the term discount, not a welcome offer.
The quotas are spelled out in the plan table — 10, 25, or 50 GB of NVMe disk, 100, 250, or 500 GB of traffic per month — and they mean what they say. If your needs grow, the next plan up exists, and you can request the change at any time.
As for what exactly happens the day a limit is reached, write to us: the answer depends on the service concerned, and we would rather give you a precise answer than a general one.
Yes, in both directions. Write to us from the client area or at contact@kardoxmedia.com, naming the plan you have in mind: we tell you what the change involves and what it costs before anything is committed. The new plan's quotas apply as soon as the change is made, and that plan's rate is, once again, its renewal rate: moving up does not set up a deferred increase. Your sites, your databases, and your mailboxes stay in place — nothing needs to be reinstalled.
You are bound only by the term you have paid for: one month, one year, two years, or three years, as you choose. To stop, simply do not renew — tell us before the renewal date, by email or by ticket, and the service ends when the current period does. The procedure is in the terms of service.
No. The servers are in the European Union and no data is transferred outside the EU; the GDPR applies. The details of what we keep, why, and how to request its deletion are set out in the privacy policy.
Yes. You have one FTP account per site, your MariaDB databases from the panel, and the choice of PHP 8.3 or PHP 8.4 site by site: enough to restore a backup and repoint a domain name.
What you do not have is SSH — so no command line, no rsync, no WP-CLI. If your site is large or out of the ordinary, write to us before you order: we will tell you frankly whether a shared plan is the right fit.
No, not on the shared plans: account shells are set to “nologin”. You have FTP, the hosting panel, MariaDB databases, and scheduled tasks — 5, 10, or 20 depending on the plan. We say it here rather than let you find out after paying. Do not confuse the two: SSH is a remote console, meant for development; the SSL certificate, which encrypts your site for its visitors, is included in all three plans.
Virtual private servers are in the works. Until their specifications are final, we announce neither prices nor promises; write to us if you are interested.
No. The Let's Encrypt certificate is installed and renewed automatically, on all three plans, at no extra charge and with nothing for you to do. It covers the domain and its aliases, which are unlimited in number on every plan. You have no expiration date to watch and no renewal to purchase: that is the service working normally, not an option.
The people who run the machines, in French. You will not find a response-time figure here: we would rather not post one we could not keep on the day of an outage. You have an address, contact@kardoxmedia.com, and a form in the client area.
nginx as a proxy in front of Apache 2; PHP 8.3 and 8.4 via FPM, with the version chosen site by site; MariaDB for the databases; exim4 for outgoing mail and dovecot for IMAP and POP3, with ClamAV for antivirus and SpamAssassin for antispam; bind9 for the DNS zones, served by ns1.kardox.net and ns2.kardox.net; vsftpd for FTP; cron for scheduled tasks; Let's Encrypt for the certificates.
Nothing exotic, and nothing invented for the occasion: software you can name, whose documentation exists outside these pages.
Don't see your question? Write to us, or browse the client area guides.
A French company that operates its own machines: the hosting panel, the DNS zones, and the mail are handled here, not subcontracted to a third party you would never hear about.
We do not display years in business, customer counts, or trust badges: none of that can be verified from your browser. What can be verified is already on this page.
A question asked beforehand is better than a misunderstanding afterward. Write to us in French: the person who answers you is the one who runs the machine.
The order button leads to the client area, at client.kardoxmedia.com. No payment method is required to ask a question.
